52 Films by Women- Week 44

So this weeks was a challenge! I couldn't get into about two films which and I swear it seemed like nothing seemed interesting until i stumbled across this little legal drama that such a  great surprise.

The Trials of Cate McCall

A true gem, this court based thriller follows Cate as she tries to solve a case that seems to be full of twists and turns as well as balance her daughter and dealing with her alcohol abuse problems. It's full of plot twists and surprises  and is really really good if quite dark. Kate Beckinsdale and Nick Nolte put in some excellent performances as Satan himself Mark Pellegrino as a police officer with possibly something to hide.
