The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies: The Ones that really Mattered

Exactly 40 minutes ago I came out of the cinema after wafting the last film set in Middle Earth. It's a sad truth the film was incredible, beautiful, moving and filled with action. Like every film so far, there were no dull moments and it moved quickly. It didn't even feel like an hour let along two and a bit. So join me to say goodbye to the amazing Hobbit.
SPOILERS, SO MANY
So once again we venture back in to Middle earth this time being chased by a massive dragon. Said dragon is quickly dispatched by Bard (Luke Evans) and the lake-townersstart heading up tot he mountain to get what they are owed and forge a new life. Well thats not gonna work. Legolas and Tauriel are elfin about, Thranduil is in a tizzy on a back of a moose. Gandalf is in all sorts of trouble and Galadriel goes all the Grudge on Sauron. It is truly epic.
The 45 minute battle that everyone is getting in arms about 1. does not feel like 45 minutes and 2. is slotted in so seamlessly with action and the other bits that it's not as prominent as people seem to think. A particular point goes to the lovely Billy Connelly for being Dane, Thorin's cousin and Dwarf army leader who rides a battle pig! Yeah its, freaking cool. Dwarfs duck down, elves jump over them. Thranduil and Bard team up. In fact every second of this film is perfect.
The deaths were shocking when Kili and Fili are dispatched I swear i cried. Tuareg is genuinely distressed by it. The amount of death is on par with LOTR. The most interesting I noticed were the apparent parallels between Tauriel/Kili and Thorin/Bilbo. Might just be my fanon goggles, but it was there.
In the end Legolas leaves his father on what appears to be a final goodbye (I'm pretty sure Thranduil is off to the grey lands, by the finality of their conversation) also Thranduil sends Legolas to find Aragorn so we know where that ends. Thorn and Legolas fought together foreshadowing him and Gimli. Thranduil turned out to be a pretty good dad actually and tells Tauriel loads of nice dad stuff. Gandalf takes Bilbo home where we meet the real villains, forget Sauron there is only one true evil and that is the...Sackville-Bagginses.

So that's it a fitting end to a beautiful saga. All in all it reminds of Samwise's speech from LOTR "It's like in the great stories Mr Frodo, the ones that truly mattered, full of darkness and danger they were" (FULL SPEECH HERE) Because thats what happened It was filled with darkness and danger but light must come. ThankYou Peter Jackson, It's been incredible.
